About Us

Jessamine County Water District #1 started around 1964 as a rural water district with a few hundred customers.  Since then it has grown by leaps and bounds to about 2300 residential and commercial customers.

Our water is purchased from the City of Nicholasville. Our water is pumped in from the Kentucky River, treated by City of Nicholasville then pumped into 2 storage tanks owned by Jessamine County Water District #1.

We currently have 1.25 million gallon capacity and will be adding another 1 million gallon storage tank located behind Cracker Barrel at Brannon Road and U.S. 27 in 2014.

Our mission is to provide the best quality water and service to our customers.
